I live in Edinburgh with my husband and two young boys. They are my world and I love seeing them laughing and playing together. It makes all the sleepless nights and falling over toys worth it!
I have been practising yoga since I was 14. I found a real love for it in my 20’s to reduce work stress. Then when we decided to start trying for a baby I practised every day to keep myself relaxed and fit. I continued this throughout my pregnancy and postnatally. I found YogaBellies for my second pregnancy and continued until 41 weeks pregnant and then did YogaBellies for Mum & Baby classes from 6 weeks until my baby started crawling when I transitioned into the women’s Core Play and Luna classes.
Apart from yoga, I also love going for a run or walk in the woods, baking, eating out and relaxing in the sun with a good book.
Keeping fit and healthy has always been a priority for me. Yoga is a great way to build strength and focus the mind. I have always loved teaching others in my previous roles and through going to YogaBellies for Pregnancy and YogaBellies for Mum & Baby classes I grew so passionate about what I was doing. The breathing techniques and positions I learned in class contributed hugely to how positive my second labour was and I will be forever grateful for that. Postnatally, I became fascinated with women’s health and recovery from pregnancy and childbirth. I have a strong desire to help other women like me build up strength and flexibility after having a baby – whilst having fun!
