Nicola Created Feminine Yoga Leeds or Yogabellies Leeds as a response to the current trend in the yoga community, she feels the online yoga community and some studios/teachers often misrepresent women of a certain age and life stage. Nicola has practiced yoga on and off for the past 20 years but was often left feeling intimated and frustrated at how the yoga community seemed to be driving it. She felt that as social media platforms grew this only heightened and often highlighted the problem. Nicola’s style of yoga is non competitive and welcomes ALL women, and ALL abilities. Every shape and size. Every age and life stage. Beautiful, Feminine rolls and curves are very much welcome. Having suffered postnatal depression, largely brought on through lack of medial and institutional support. Nicola once again turned to yoga and meditation. Through this she became more Intune with herself and her body to steer her through the other side. Yoga has provided moments of stillness from the chaos of having 2 little kids, a mini poodle and a big kid of a husband! It has provided her with clarity and makes her feel good about herself as she knows she is caring for...

Through this she became more Intune with herself and her body to steer her through the other side. Nicola also suffers from IBS and yoga has helped her manage these symptoms.
Nicola loves been a mum to Olivia and Finn and Teddy the poodle. Yoga has provided moments of stillness from the chaos of having 2 little kids, a mini poodle and a big kid of a husband! It has provided her with clarity and makes her feel good about herself as she knows she is caring for her body and mind. It even made her become more interested in giving her body the best nutrition and other self-care methods. Nicola is passionate about helping other women feel the same and wants to help and assist them on their own path.
I am also a Menopause, Health and Wellbeing advisor and ambassador in my day job.
As a 42- year old perimenopausal woman I defiantly feel the benefits of yoga at my current life stage, as it helps balance the hormones, I also did pregnancy and postnatal yoga. Yoga can assist women through all life stages and it isn’t just the shapes we do on the mat, it is so much more…

Nicola's main goal is to help busy hard working women and mums like herself to regain some much needed relaxation and time out whilst also caring for their body and mind and feeling good about themselves.
