Hi, I'm Sharon and I joined Yogabellies in 2011 as one of their founder members. Currently, I teach Yogabellies classes in Docklands London, E14 near Canary Wharf under the E14YogaCoach brand. When I was younger, I loved ashtanga. Now, in my 40's, I prefer flow for my personal practice. I make adjustments and adaptations for my frame which has changed over the years and enjoy offering that service to my clients. I use yoga to enhance or combat my emotions - to calm down, to energise and to celebrate. There is always a reason to head to the mat. My style of teaching is encouraging, empowering and kind. I feel strongly that Yoga should be accessible for everyone. In my classes, you are not expected to be able to twist into pretzel or stand on your head. All sizes, ages, race, flexibility, experience are welcomed and supported.
Name Sharon osu
Teaching Area East London – around E14.I joined YB in 2011 as one of the original founder members. Yogabellies sounded like the sort of job that would provide huge amounts of job satisfaction, the chance to learn within a community of strong independent kind and intelligent women.
I use yoga to enhance or combat my emotions. Stressed – head to the mat to calm down. Happy –head to the mat and do something challenging. Upset – head to the mat for balance. I love that as
women we play many roles in our lives and our focus has to change accordingly. The mat and thework we put in on the mat changes according to our requirements as often as we change. The most enjoyable part of teaching without a doubt is the relationships that you build with your clients. I have
clients from 8 years ago that took pregnancy yoga, then baby massage, then mum and baby yoga
and finally yogabelles classes with me. When they heard I was starting to teach again after a break of 2 years many of them called with congratulations and wanted to book in with me.My style as a Yogabellies teacher is to be kind, encouraging and put people at ease.
I run the type of class where absolute beginners are equally happy alongside more experienced
clients. I actively encourage props (obviously due to covid the students will need to provide their
own), and am happy to accommodate common health issues and adapt the asana accordingly.
My hope is that clients feel comfortable, supported during class and leave having learnt something
new and have a more flexible strengthened body.Sharon Osu
