Hello and welcome to YogaBellies. It’s Tash here from YogaBellies Farnborough, Fleet and Camberley. Hopefully if you’ve reached this far, you’re interested in joining one of our YogaBellies classes. If so – Yay! They’re awesome!*
I’m incredibly passionate about the role yoga can play in all things pregnancy and birth. I remember that feeling of being nervous stepping into my first pregnancy yoga class expecting my first baby. But my teacher asked me to get there a bit early, talked me through what would happen and I remember sitting next to another mum-to-be who also was doing it for the first time. That mum-to-be is now one of my best mummy friends to this day! So please don’t let that stop you from giving yoga for pregnancy a go, it was the best decision I made and I’m sure it will be for you too.
I would turn up straight from work, all stressed and rushed. Stepping into that room would instantly make me feel so much more calm and relaxed. I absolutely loved taking that hour every week to just focus on me and my baby and give myself a little bit of self care. The skills I gained hugely impacted the birth of my 2 daughters too (Chloe 3 and Hollie 1) – something I will always be grateful for.
Being able to pass on that experience to other women like you is a real privilege I feel genuinely honoured to be able to do. Pregnancy is such a special time, and you as a mamma to be are so precious – you’re growing a human after all – don’t forget that! So give yourself and your baby the time, care and focus you both deserve.
Working in corporate video my whole working life, I know what it feels like to have that long commute, to have no work-life balance, to be away travelling a lot (and not the sort involving sunsets on the beach and Pina coladas!) And to wish you could do a regular yoga class but how can you possibly commit to that every week? Please please put yourself first; soon enough the classes can become part of your weekly routine and hopefully act as a big metaphorical exhale to set you up for the rest of your week.
There’s a saying ‘every time you buy from a small business, someone does a little dance’. That’s me, every time I receive a message from someone like you. So go for it! If nothing else – you’ll get me dancing!
Lots of love Tash xxx
P.S. 86% of women that come to Yogabellies classes have never done yoga before – so don’t let that stop you.
*(Yes, I’m biased…but I love them so much, I just know you will too!)
