This training is for you if:

You want to work with/teach yoga to women over 40 in a way thats therapeutic

You work with women over 40, either as a yoga teacher or other wellness practitioner, and want a comprehensive, world-recognized qualification on each stage of menopause. You will learn how best to serve your clients through every stage including yoga and breathing practices, meditations, and yogic self-care. You’ll also learn about physiology, the role of hormones throughout life, and how to strengthen the BAP’s (back, abs and pelvic floor) at this key time. You will also learn hormone-balancing yoga for women that can be applied at every life stage

You are over 40 and starting to experience changes that you suspect could be menopause

You’re starting to notice things like insomnia and hot flashes that you never had before or perhaps you’re noticing changes in your menstrual cycle. You think that you’re moving towards menopause… but you don’t know, because who talks about it!? You feel disconnected from your body and you just don’t feel like yourself. You find yourself feeling more exhausted than usual, perhaps you’re experiencing anxiety or low mood and want to look at natural solutions. Perhaps you’re finding that what you want from your yoga practice has changed and you want to know what are the best options for you now. You want to understand how this new life stage will impact your life and how to embrace it positively and armed with knowledge, on and off the yoga mat.

  • Learn the unique YogaPause practices (yoga with and without weights) created for women over 40 to build strength, stamina and clarity of mind for women over 40.
  • Identify the signs and symptoms for each stage of the Menopause and learn yoga practices for relief of symptoms
  • Learn about the power of the Wise Woman archetype and how to embrace her power in our everyday life
  • Understand the role and importance of hormones in the female lifecycle. Discover how to use yoga to stimulate the endocrine system and balance hormonal fluctuations, not just in menopause, but throughout life.
  • Explore common female conditions throughout life and key risk factors for women as they age. Learn what adjustments we can make to our yoga practice to benefit our clients.
  • Explore the various types of hormone testing available for women and wether they are necessary
  • Use the YogaBellies Sadhana of Sense Breath Move Sleep Circle to work with women throughout perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.

I created this programme for women as they move past their 30s and through the stages of menopause. It’s for all women over 40 and wellness practitioners and yoga teachers who want to guide other women on this powerful journey.

This complete Menopause yoga teacher training includes my unique YogaPause sequences and practices that you can use with your clients. YogaPause and YogaPause STRONG (using additional weights) are created just for women at this life stage and work therapeutically on a number of Menopause related conditions.

How does the YOGAPAUSE : WELCOMING THE WISE WOMAN training work?

Each of our 50-Hour YTT’s are individually accredited course on its own or can be added together to qualify for the 300-hour EMPOWER™ qualification. You can join in with our live online teaching sessions for the 50-hour YTT, or you can simply view the recordings and complete the assessment in your own time. Everything you need is available to you online instantly on sign-up and you will receive a 50-Hour YTT Certificate accredited by Yoga Alliance International on completion.


With a focus on yoga for physical, emotional and mental wellbeing throughout menopause – in each module, we’ll cover yoga and wellness for the stages of menopause, female-specific illnesses and conditions – as well as balancing hormonal fluctuations;  yoga through the seasons, nutrition, self-care, Ayurveda for women’s health… oooft! And so much more 🙂
