In these times of pandemic, a lot of yoga classes are moving online for safety reasons. Due to local restrictions it may also mean you may not be able to attend an in-person class. The choice regarding whether to take a studio yoga class or an online class comes with benefits and challenges. Different individuals prefer each for a variety of reasons, all of which are completely valid. While studio yoga allows for a sense of community, online yoga can be done in the intimate setting of your own home. However, not all online yoga is the same. Im going to talk you through the differences between an in-person class, a recorded ‘online’ yoga class and a YogaBelliesLIVE class, which has all of the benefits of both your in-person experience and the flexibility of being able to attend class from home.
- In-Person Yoga Classes
Studio yoga promotes a group setting with interactions among students and teachers. Physical assists are possible, as well as chats before and after class. A studio based class brings you physically away from work and other distractions so that you may be more likely to focus completely on your practice. Your teacher can provide feedback on any particular poses that may be likely to help any current muscle-related or physical ailments. You also need to factor in commuting time to and from the studio before and after class.
- Yoga Class Videos
Online yoga allows you to practice in the comfort of your own home. You are in the safest space that exists, and you are free to make noise, pause the practice to stretch, or do anything else your body needs. Often, online sessions are preferable for anyone who does not wish to socialize or for beginners who may want a basic understanding of poses before tackling a studio setting. However, it is important to note that online yoga does not allow for any human interaction. Additionally, it may require more self-discipline to stay focused and not become distracted by family members or household tasks.
- YogaBelliesLIVE Online Classes
YogaBelliesLIVE classes combine the best of both worlds: live online classes with your yogabellies teacher and classmates. The classes are completely interactive where the teacher can see you and offer adjustments and answer questions and you still get to be part of the yogabellies community and chat with and support your sisters. Youre getting all of the regualirty, routine, advice and prompting and conversation you would in an in person class, with the benefit of not having to leave your home to do so! You can stick to your routine and keep up with your yoga friends, just like normal. You also get the added support of our online yogabellies community and you also get a replay of every class, so if the time doesn’t suit or you want tyo practice agin, just login and view.
Studio and online yoga both have their benefits and challenges to consider. Different yoga experiences exist so that individuals who flourish in varying environments can all get whatever it is they need out of a particular session. YogaBelliesLIVE brings the best of both worlds into your home.
