YogaBellies® CorePlay® is a dynamic, challenging program that combines strength, sweat and spirituality. It recognizes power in different levels; first is the physical power which develops the body’s strength and improve health; second is the mental power or the will to concentrate on the practice; and last the spiritual power which is the power behind the physical and mental power. The practice can be adapted for all levels of yogini, even complete beginners.

YogaBellies® CorePlay® is a female centric adaptation of the very masculine, Ashtanga Yoga. CorePlay® Yoga sessions do not need a heated room, as you create internal heat through movement.  The sequence is composed of different yoga postures intended to develop strength and flexibility, increase stamina, improves the ability to focus, release tensions and remove toxins through sweating.

 

What is the YogaBellies® CorePlay® sequence?

CorePlay sessions comprising a sequence of 19 postures with 7 Rising Sun Salutes which tone and strengthen the body, mind and soul. We call the routine the ‘Core Play’ sequence because these sessions are fun but tough! The postures are practised in the same order in each class, allowing us to focus our practice on strengthening and the postures are held for five breaths. This practice can increase physical endurance and ability to focus on any task for a long time without breaking your concentration.

 

What is the difference between YogaBellies® CorePlay® and other styles of yoga?

YogaBellies® CorePlay® is a vinyasa style that has a unique program offering and focuses on core strength, balance and flow to build a solid practice based on strength and spirit. It builds your internal fire. Every posture in this dynamic sequence has been chosen to consistently strengthen your BAP’s: Back, Abs and Pelvic Floor. Maintaining the health of these key areas is essential to a woman’s health and wellbeing throughout life. These essential structures protect the womb or the ‘hara,’ the female life force, and so strong BAP’s = a happy, healthy, harmonious lady.
