Aside from the obvious ‘more tired, more busy, more messy’, what are the differences between pregnancy with baby 1 and 2?

Surely it’s just a case of ‘rinse and repeat’ with the second child?
To put it bluntly – no.
You’re different, they’re different, and there’s the small matter of a tiny terrorist already ruling the roost. Your next pregnancy pans out a little like this…
First kid: You know you’re pregnant two days before your period and sign up to 10 pregnancy apps. Knowing your foetus is now the size of an avocado takes is critical. You switch to a dairy-, caffeine-, alcohol- and gluten-free superfood diet and attend thrice-weekly prenatal yoga and HypnoBirthing classes.
Next kid: You’re shocked to find out you’re 10 weeks pregnant. Apparently breastfeeding is not a contraceptive. When asked how far along you are, you vaguely say, “6 months – no, 7. I think.” You eat whatever carbs you can. First Kid is trying to come along to your yoga class and refusing to go to bed. You can forget getting alone time to meditate or bond with baby in utero.
